Tech Class

Here is the Tech Class, clicking away, during a timing.

Tech 1 is "keyboarding class" for the final time.  The focus this year is no longer on learning keys.  Hopefully most Tech students have learned the keyboard layout in previous classes.  Instead we focus on increasing speed while maintaining accuracy.  We use a program by Sunburst, but it is intermingled with projects in Microsoft Word and Google Docs.

In a technological world, it has become increasingly important to be able do present your thoughts in technological formats.  Typing Class has become a thing of the pass, and in its place we have the multi-media version of typing.  Speed and accuracy are still important, but being able to manipulate the programs to produce what is in your mind's eye has become equally important.

School Song

First Fire Drill!

The first fire drill went flawlessly. I can't capture the effect, but the students were completely silent when I took this picture. It was a little unnerving...

All A-Buzz!

Literally! There was a swarm of bees taking up refuge in one of the trees out front.

(But we decided against adding this to Mr. Heavner's Collection of strange and exotic animals.)
