First Fire Drill!

The first fire drill went flawlessly. I can't capture the effect, but the students were completely silent when I took this picture. It was a little unnerving...

School is back in Session!

School has started back up, and we are all ready and raring to go. We are ready to tackle new challenges, and we are ready to finish strong.

But we want to tackle the tail end of the year with the right focus, so Mr. Conner shared with us the importance of prayer. He also gave us some practical advice on how to be more steadfast in our prayer-lives.

Here are some pictures of Lisa leading us in a few songs to prepare our minds for Mr. Conner.

TR Parade

Just a few pictures from the Wonderful Traveler's Rest Parade:

Mr. Harmless posing by the back of the wagon.

Here is the group, just moments before the beginning of the parade.

Here is the group ignoring me.

Mrs. Bird and Miss Buchanan contemplating the lack of banner instructions.

Zach being Zach and Mr. Bird attempting to avoid the police!

Zach Bird, Josh Crowson, Sam Harmless and Josiah Harmless... Just hanging out before the parade.

Mr. Heavner taking some pictures before the beginning of the parade.

Some Alpacas and some Cub Scouts. They don't have anything to do with Blue Ridge Christian Academy, but they did join us in the parade.

National Young Reader's Day

There were so many amazing guests, and so many memorable moments that it would be impossible to post them all on this blog. Instead I have decided to post another slide show of pictures.

Before I give you a slide show, I want to at least post the one picture of our two most honored guests together.

And here is the slideshow: (If it is not already playing through the pictures, then click the triangle to get it started.)

Ground Breaking Ceremony 2007

We celebrated the Ground Breaking Ceremony this year with sweet tea, slaw, potato salad, baked beans, and loads of pork.

It was wonderful, and celebrated the way any good southern ground breaking ceremony should be celebrated. We heard from Mark Hatfield, Buzz Baker, and Jill.

The vision was shared, and we are eagerly looking forward to watching God provide.

Here is a short slideshow of pictures. If it isn't already playing through the pictures, click the triangle to get the photo album started.

See You At The Pole 2007

Here is a short collection of pictures from See You At The Pole. At Blue Ridge Christian Academy, prayer plays a hugely important role. A special day like this only gives us one more opportunity to engage in this communication with God as a group.

(What is See You At The Pole? Click here to find out.)
